Ei is, without a doubt, very bubbly and happy-go-lucky as she interacts with others and with the rest of the world. There is little that she wants to worry about, and therefore, she kind of goes on with her own individuality and her own path. Generally, Ei keeps away from a lot of people, knowing that she will develop some form of attachment with others that are around her age appearance if she stays around for too long. This is why she used to only visit towns, do a few jobs that were posted on quest boards, or were available in information kiosks of certain towns and cities, and then she would be on her way.
As someone that is immortal, it is hard for Ei to worry about the future, or even the past. She enjoys living in the now, and that is why that her preferred form that she chooses as a shapeshifter generally includes wings. Because she loves the freedom that flying gives her, Ei is also cripplingly claustrophobic until she can regain a point of mind where she can clearly think and remember that she can shapeshift into something that can dig or actually manoeuvre the dirt and sediment that is in her way.
Rarely, however, does Ei wear her heart on her sleeve. Many of her emotions are clouded by the mask she wears every day as a means to escape memories from her past, or even the sadness that she feels when she realises that she cannot recall important events in her life that made her who she is today. Being an immortal and knowing that one's brain capacity can only hold so much, there is much in Ei's life that she does not ever recall, nor will she ever recall with the constant memory dumping and memory storing that she goes through on a day by day basis. These days, Ei keeps several journals where she writes only what she wants to remember -- same with photos. Ei only takes pictures of places she wishes to remember -- be it for their beauty, serenity, or even their eeriness.
With Zero in her life, Ei is definitely even more happier -- though this time it is genuine. Because Zero is like her -- an immortal -- Ei has a reason to actually look forward to being happy about how their day is going to be. Ei loves Zero, and she relishes the company and the memories that they get to make together. At least if they are to see the world end, they can see it together.
In general, it should go without saying that Ei is fiercely loyal to Zero. Ever since they had met with Zero rescuing Ei from the R.E.D. facilities, the shapeshifter has been by Zero's side ever since. There are no plans for Ei to ever abandon him, and as far as the two of them have been concerned, they consider themselves in an unshakable, and unbreakable relationship that nothing can destroy.
